Key Responsibilities

The Contracts & Procurement Lead will play a critical role in shaping and executing our procurement and contract management strategies. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Contract Management: Develop, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with legal requirements, company policies, and risk management standards. Oversee contract lifecycle management from initiation to renewal or termination.
• Procurement Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough due diligence to ensure reliability and value.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues proactively to ensure contract compliance and quality standards.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement and contract activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. Implement robust risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts and procurement activities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, legal teams, finance departments, and external partners to facilitate seamless contract execution and procurement operations. Provide expert guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement and contract management processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance. Leverage data analytics and industry insights to inform strategic decision-making.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement activities, contract performance, and cost analysis to senior management. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit trails and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or JD) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Proven expertise in negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts, including terms and conditions, pricing agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, including strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and cost optimization techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in contract management software, ERP systems, and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
