Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Product Fabrication: Construct and assemble metal structures, components, and assemblies using blueprints, schematics, or verbal instructions. Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and project specifications.
• Material Preparation: Cut, shape, and prepare raw materials, including metals, plastics, and composites, using tools such as saws, shears, and plasma cutters. Maintain accurate measurements to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Welding and Joining: Perform welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metal components securely. Ensure welds meet structural integrity and safety requirements.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with design specifications. Address any discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fabrication machinery and tools, including CNC machines, presses, and grinders. Report any malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines. Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution. Provide clear and concise updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, including measurements, materials used, and inspection results. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits or reviews.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or a similar industrial role is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience with CAD software or CNC programming is advantageous.
• Certifications: Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are highly desirable. Certifications in safety protocols or equipment operation may be required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions, including bending, stooping, or reaching. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
