Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our property in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role will serve as the primary financial strategist, driving the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans that align with both the property’s and the brand’s long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and team management, with a keen ability to optimize profitability while ensuring operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance will be responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that deliver measurable results, ensuring alignment with the brand’s service strategy and target customer expectations. Champion initiatives that maximize return on investment while fostering sustainable growth.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: Create and oversee the annual operating budget, conducting detailed analyses of sales projections, expenses, and cost-saving opportunities. Monitor actual performance against forecasts, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial discipline.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide ongoing analytical support to property managers, delivering insights that drive informed decision-making. Analyze financial data, market trends, and operational metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Risk Management and Controls: Establish and maintain a robust system of financial controls to mitigate business risks and protect assets. Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence. Communicate strategic goals clearly, assign responsibilities, and conduct performance appraisals to drive team success. Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and executive committee on financial matters.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the property, owners, corporate leadership, and key stakeholders. Understand and prioritize stakeholder needs, providing transparent and persuasive financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Represent the property in meetings and discussions to advocate for financial best practices and alignment with corporate goals.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a strong preference for candidates with prior leadership roles in a hospitality, real estate, or corporate environment. Experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis is essential.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and a commitment to ethical financial practices.
• Strategic Mindset: A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex financial challenges.

This full-time, on-site position is based at our property located at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Street, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
