Job Summary

As the strategic financial leader for the property, this pivotal role is responsible for driving the financial vision and operational excellence that aligns with the brand’s service strategy and business objectives. The Director of Finance will serve as the primary financial steward, developing and executing comprehensive financial plans that enhance profitability, optimize investments, and deliver exceptional value to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance will oversee a wide range of financial activities, ensuring alignment with corporate and brand strategies while maximizing return on investment. Core responsibilities include:

• Strategic Financial Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that drive profitability, cost efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, forecast sales, and create annual operating budgets in collaboration with operational leaders.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against projections, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to ensure fiscal discipline.
  • Leverage financial insights to support decision-making, including evaluating new business opportunities, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Establish robust financial controls to safeguard assets, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate business risks.
• Leadership and Team Development:
  • Provide visionary leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and high performance.
  • Communicate strategic financial goals and priorities clearly to team members, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of finance staff, including conducting annual appraisals and providing mentorship.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to influence property-wide strategies and drive financial excellence across departments.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
  • Act as the trusted financial advisor to the General Manager and executive committee, offering strategic insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Engage with property owners, corporate leadership, and key stakeholders to understand their priorities and align financial strategies accordingly.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in financial reporting, providing stakeholders with timely and accurate updates on performance metrics.
• Operational and Financial Oversight:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual business plan that integrates financial objectives with operational goals.
  • Analyze market trends and economic conditions to anticipate challenges and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor cash flow dynamics and liquidity to ensure the property’s financial health and sustainability.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve financial outcomes across all departments.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Alternatively, a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience will be considered.
