Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the property by executing the following responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement property-wide financial strategies that align with the brand’s service objectives and maximize return on investment. Champion initiatives that enhance profitability, including cost-benefit analysis, new business opportunities, and revenue optimization.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning: Create and oversee the annual operating budget, ensuring alignment with the property’s and brand’s strategic goals. Monitor actual performance against projections, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to improve financial efficiency and productivity.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Produce accurate forecasts to support operational decision-making and ensure the property remains agile in response to market dynamics.
• Risk Management and Controls: Establish and maintain robust financial and operational controls to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and enhance profitability. Oversee internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the finance team to achieve excellence in financial management. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration by clearly communicating goals, priorities, and performance expectations. Conduct regular performance appraisals to drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager, executive committee, and property owners. Effectively communicate financial insights in a clear and persuasive manner to influence decision-making and align financial strategies with business objectives. Engage with key stakeholders to understand their priorities and deliver tailored financial solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in financial leadership. Candidates with a master’s degree may substitute with one year of relevant experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience in leading finance teams, fostering collaboration, and driving operational excellence. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
