Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership and Reporting: Oversee and lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings. Maintain compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements, including Saudi tax regulations.
• Accounting Operations and Controls: Manage daily accounting activities, including reconciliations, payment processing, banking operations, and financial transactions related to employees and suppliers. Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Audit and Compliance Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, coordinating audit activities, inventory verifications, and financial control assessments. Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in financial governance.
• Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Monitor budget performance, analyze financial variances, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize resource allocation and support business growth. Collaborate with department heads to align financial objectives with operational goals.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Delegate responsibilities effectively and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
• Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and technologies. Drive initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3–4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or multi-branch business environment.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, audit procedures, and month-end closing processes. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle, are essential.
• Certification and Compliance: Valid membership with the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) is required. A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards is expected.
