Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Data Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing our data-driven decision-making processes by performing the following duties:

• Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct both recurring and ad hoc analyses to address critical business questions, with a primary focus on supporting the sales team. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Sales Team Support: Develop a deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by the sales team and translate these issues into data-driven solutions. Collaborate with sales leadership to provide insights that enhance performance, optimize processes, and drive revenue.
• Data Compilation and Interpretation: Gather, clean, and analyze data related to sales performance, customer behavior, market trends, and operational efficiency. Ensure data accuracy and integrity while extracting meaningful insights that inform strategic initiatives.
• Visualization and Reporting: Design and develop clear, compelling visualizations and reports using advanced Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Present complex data in an accessible and engaging manner to facilitate understanding and decision-making among non-technical stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to align data initiatives with business objectives. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, or a related field is required. Equivalent professional experience in data analysis will also be considered.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of delivering insights that drive business outcomes. Experience in a sales or revenue-focused environment is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI and Excel. Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and statistical analysis software is a plus. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools is essential.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset are critical for success in this role.
