Role Overview

As a Cost Control Manager at UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, headquartered in Saudi Arabia, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing financial performance across projects and operations. Key Responsibilities

• Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are met, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Cost Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed cost analysis, prepare financial reports, and present findings to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
• Procurement Oversight: Work with procurement teams to negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor proposals, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local and international accounting standards, corporate policies, and contractual obligations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks, assess their impact on projects, and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s financial health.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align cost control measures with operational goals and project timelines.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate cost control processes, recommend enhancements, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide cost control analysts and junior staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the team.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role within the construction, contracting, or trading sectors.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across teams and departments.
