Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for a range of technical and operational duties designed to enhance our dairy production capabilities. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Process Optimization: Analyze and refine dairy manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance product consistency. Utilize your expertise in Continuous Improvement Techniques (CIT) to drive operational excellence and cost efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all dairy products adhere to stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and Almarai’s internal specifications. Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product integrity.
• Innovation and Development: Participate in the research and development of new dairy products and formulations. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to introduce innovative solutions that align with market demands.
• Manufacturing Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with local and international food safety regulations, including HACCP, ISO, and other relevant standards. Promote a culture of safety and hygiene within the manufacturing environment.
• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior staff and production teams on CIT methodologies, dairy processing techniques, and quality management systems. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of risk. Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Continuous Improvement Techniques (CIT) or Lean Manufacturing are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy manufacturing, with a proven track record in process optimization, quality assurance, and technical leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of dairy processing technologies, including pasteurization, homogenization, fermentation, and packaging systems.
• Strong proficiency in Continuous Improvement Techniques (CIT), such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Lean Manufacturing. Experience with CIT tools and methodologies is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations, including HACCP, ISO 22000, and local Saudi Arabian standards (e.g., SASO).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools. Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
