Chinese Engineer (Mandarin Required) - MBS Stadium

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chinese Engineer with fluency in Mandarin to join our dynamic team at Qiddiya Investment Company. This role is based in Saudi Arabia and will be integral to the development, maintenance, and optimization of MBS Stadium, a world-class facility designed to host major sporting events, concerts, and entertainment experiences. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills in Mandarin to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Provide engineering support for the stadium’s infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and structural systems. Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and implement preventive maintenance to uphold operational standards.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and event organizers, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Contribute to the planning and execution of upgrades or expansions.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to local and international safety regulations, as well as Qiddiya Investment Company’s policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures to mitigate hazards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between non-English-speaking stakeholders and the engineering team, facilitating clear and efficient communication in Mandarin. Translate technical documents, reports, and instructions as needed.
• Innovation and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through technology adoption, process improvements, or sustainable practices. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
• Emergency Response: Participate in emergency preparedness plans and respond to critical incidents, such as equipment failures or safety breaches, to minimize downtime and ensure public safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) from a recognized institution. Professional certifications or licenses are a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin, with the ability to read, write, and speak professionally. English proficiency is desirable but not mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools) and familiarity with stadium operations or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in stadiums, arenas, or large public venues. Experience in international projects or multicultural environments is highly valued.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
