Key Responsibilities

As a Product Repair & Modification Technician - Structures, your core duties will include:

• Structural Repair Execution: Conducting precise repairs on aircraft fuselage, wings, and other structural components using approved methodologies and materials, adhering to Boeing’s repair manuals and industry regulations.
• Modification Implementation: Assisting in the installation and modification of structural components to enhance aircraft performance, safety, or functionality, ensuring all modifications meet regulatory and engineering specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Performing thorough inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify the integrity of repairs and modifications, documenting findings and ensuring compliance with Boeing’s quality management systems.
• Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Working closely with design and engineering teams to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and repair instructions, providing feedback on feasibility and potential improvements.
• Safety and Compliance: Maintaining a strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and Boeing’s operational policies to mitigate risks and ensure a secure work environment.
• Tool and Equipment Management: Utilizing specialized tools and equipment for structural repairs, including riveting machines, composite repair tools, and precision measuring instruments, while ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
• Documentation and Reporting: Accurately recording all repair and modification activities, including work performed, materials used, and inspection results, in Boeing’s digital tracking systems for traceability and audit purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in aircraft structural repair and modification, with a strong understanding of aerospace materials, composites, and metallic structures.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in aircraft structural repair, such as FAA, EASA, or Boeing-approved credentials, are highly desirable. NDT certifications (e.g., ultrasonic, radiographic, or eddy current testing) are a plus.
• Education: A diploma or associate degree in aviation maintenance, aerospace engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent military or industry training may also be considered.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings with precision, ensuring accurate execution of repairs and modifications.
