Key Responsibilities

The Operations Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties that contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Oversight: Monitor and manage daily construction operations to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and engineering teams to maintain seamless workflow and mitigate potential risks.
• Technical Support: Provide expert technical guidance and solutions to resolve operational challenges. Analyze construction methodologies, materials, and equipment to enhance efficiency and productivity on-site.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. Implement and enforce safety measures to create a secure working environment for all personnel.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and industry best practices. Address any deviations promptly and recommend corrective actions to maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation of labor, materials, and machinery to optimize resource utilization. Work with procurement teams to source high-quality materials and equipment within budget constraints.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, change orders, and compliance documentation. Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the construction team, clients, and regulatory authorities. Facilitate clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in construction management or project management are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in construction operations, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects in the infrastructure, oil and gas, or industrial sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality control standards. Familiarity with industry-specific software such as AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or BIM tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred, with fluency in additional languages considered an asset.
