Key Responsibilities

As the Engineering Manager for Civil & Buildings, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of engineering projects, from conceptual design to final delivery. Your core duties will include:

• Project Leadership: Spearhead the planning, execution, and completion of civil and building engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical, budgetary, and timeline requirements.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while promoting professional growth and accountability.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on structural design, construction methodologies, and compliance with local and international codes, including Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant regulations.
• Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear communication, alignment on project objectives, and timely resolution of any concerns.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and performance.
• Budget and Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement activities to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, sustainable design practices, and digital tools (e.g., BIM, CAD) to enhance project outcomes and reduce environmental impact.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil and building engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing large-scale projects.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of structural analysis, design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000), and construction methodologies, with a strong grasp of local and international engineering standards.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage conflicts, and inspire a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction laws, permits, and compliance requirements, including those set by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) and other relevant authorities.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
