Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of engineering tasks that are critical to the success of our projects. Your duties will include:

• Design and Analysis: Develop detailed structural designs for equipment modules and civil structures, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards such as AISC, ACI, Eurocodes, and local Saudi regulations. Utilize advanced software tools like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, and AutoCAD to perform structural analysis and generate precise calculations.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to integrate structural solutions that align with project objectives and timelines. Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and coordination meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all structural designs and modifications adhere to local and international regulatory requirements, including fire safety, seismic considerations, and environmental impact assessments. Prepare and submit technical documentation, drawings, and reports for approval by relevant authorities.
• Innovation and Optimization: Drive continuous improvement by exploring innovative materials, construction methodologies, and design optimization techniques to enhance structural performance, reduce costs, and minimize environmental footprints. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to propose forward-thinking solutions.
• Site Support and Quality Assurance: Provide on-site technical support during construction phases, including site inspections, troubleshooting, and resolution of structural issues. Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Conduct site audits and quality checks to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in structural design and implementation, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and reliability. Perform structural integrity assessments and failure analyses to address any concerns proactively.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on equipment modules and civil structures. Experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools. Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) software is a plus.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is advantageous. Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other regional standards is beneficial.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
