Core Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial activities, including but not limited to:

• Transaction Processing: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions within the accounting system, ensuring all entries are properly documented and compliant with established policies.
• Reconciliation and Verification: Perform detailed reconciliations of supplier accounts, cash collections, and financial balances to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
• Accounts Payable Management: Process accounts payable transactions, verify supporting documentation, and ensure timely payments while adhering to company and regulatory standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, schedules, and analyses to support month-end closing activities, providing insights that aid decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Procurement, and other departments to ensure alignment between financial records and operational activities, fostering transparency and accountability.
• Audit and Compliance Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, including IFRS and VAT requirements.
• Payment and Banking Operations: Oversee employee payments, manage petty cash, and facilitate banking transactions, ensuring all activities are recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements to mitigate risks and maintain the integrity of financial records.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 0–2 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with experience in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) considered a valuable asset.
• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and maintain organized records in a high-volume environment.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present financial information clearly.
• Attention to Detail: A commitment to accuracy and precision in all financial activities, ensuring compliance and minimizing errors.
