As a Director of Engineering overseeing multiple properties within the Delta Hotels by Marriott portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through the flawless operation of our hotels. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to join our team as the Director of Engineering – Multi-Property. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations of multiple Delta Hotels properties, ensuring adherence to brand standards, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across our properties, while maintaining the highest levels of guest satisfaction and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the brand’s standards and corporate objectives, ensuring consistency and excellence across all managed properties.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day engineering operations of multiple properties, including maintenance, repairs, energy management, and capital improvements, to ensure seamless functionality and guest comfort.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international regulations, including health and safety standards, fire codes, and environmental sustainability practices.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage engineering budgets, including capital expenditures and operational costs, to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with property leadership, corporate teams, and external vendors to align engineering initiatives with broader business goals and deliver exceptional results.
• Guest-Centric Approach: Prioritize guest satisfaction by ensuring that all engineering systems—such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and IT infrastructure—are fully operational and meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader with a proven track record in multi-property management, preferably within the hospitality or luxury real estate sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for operational excellence. Key qualifications include:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple properties.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and IT infrastructure, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
