As the Director of Engineering – Multi-Property Management, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the engineering operations across multiple properties, ensuring operational excellence, sustainability, and guest satisfaction. This leadership position requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to drive efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions, optimize resource allocation, and enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Property Oversight: Manage engineering operations for multiple properties, ensuring consistent performance, adherence to brand standards, and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute engineering strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability initiatives across all managed properties.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards. Implement robust safety protocols to mitigate risks and protect both guests and staff.
• Budget & Resource Management: Oversee engineering budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
• Technology & Innovation: Leverage cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices to streamline operations, enhance energy efficiency, and improve property performance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with property leadership, corporate teams, and external vendors to align engineering initiatives with broader business goals and guest expectations.
• Guest Experience Focus: Ensure that engineering operations contribute to a seamless and comfortable stay for guests by addressing maintenance issues promptly and proactively.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP, or Certified Engineering Manager) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a multi-property or large-scale facility management role within the hospitality or commercial real estate sector.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety, and sustainable building practices. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is required.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across multiple locations. Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a proven track record of identifying challenges, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities and driving results under pressure.
• Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and the ability to adapt leadership styles to foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
