Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to aviation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Oversee all phases of project execution, from planning and design to implementation and closure.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and internal teams. Foster collaborative relationships to align project goals with stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all aviation projects comply with international and local regulations, including safety protocols, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and productivity. Monitor resource utilization to prevent bottlenecks and delays.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and cost control. Prepare detailed financial reports and present progress updates to senior leadership and clients.
- Team Development: Mentor and lead a high-performing project team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Identify training needs and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of aviation infrastructure, including airports, air traffic control systems, and aviation technology, to guide project decisions and resolve complex challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aviation project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role. Prior experience in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is a strong advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and aviation-specific tools. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as ICAO, FAA, and EASA standards.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated leadership in managing multicultural teams and stakeholders.
- Certifications: Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred. Aviation-related certifications (e.g., ACI, IATA) are a plus.
