Airport Systems Engineer ICT / ELV (Airport Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Systems Engineer specializing in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. This role is critical to the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced airport infrastructure, ensuring seamless operational efficiency and compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities

• System Design and Integration: Develop and oversee the integration of ICT and ELV systems, including but not limited to communication networks, security systems, building management systems, and passenger processing solutions. Ensure alignment with airport operational requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Project Execution: Lead and participate in end-to-end project delivery, from initial feasibility studies and conceptual design to installation, testing, and commissioning. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and airport stakeholders, to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians, reviewing designs, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices and safety protocols. Conduct regular audits to assess system performance and recommend enhancements.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all systems comply with international aviation standards (e.g., ICAO, IATA) and local regulatory requirements. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in airport infrastructure.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, including airport authorities, airlines, and government agencies. Present technical proposals, progress reports, and risk assessments in a clear and concise manner.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with system failures or operational disruptions and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Implement redundancy and fail-safe mechanisms to enhance system reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA) are advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in ICT and ELV systems engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with direct airport or aviation industry exposure. Experience with systems such as FIDS, BMS, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360, as well as familiarity with network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and cloud-based solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise practical, scalable solutions. Strong project management capabilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus.
