Automated Operations Engineer Access TX

Position Overview

Ericsson, a global leader in communications technology and services, is seeking a highly skilled Automated Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions to optimize network operations, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation within our Access TX domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in automation, scripting, and network management, combined with a passion for leveraging technology to streamline processes and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Development: Design, develop, and deploy automated workflows and scripts to automate routine operational tasks, reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency.
• Network Management: Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability of Access TX infrastructure.
• Incident Response: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and outages, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements, proposing innovative solutions to drive operational excellence and cost savings.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of automation processes, network configurations, and incident reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and the adoption of best practices in automated operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, along with experience in automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Network Knowledge: In-depth understanding of network protocols, architectures, and technologies, particularly within the Access TX domain (e.g., 4G/5G, fiber optics, or microwave systems).
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
