Field HSE Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Specialist to join our team in Dhahran. This role is critical to ensuring the implementation of robust safety protocols, compliance with regulatory standards, and the promotion of a culture of safety across all field operations. Key Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance and Risk Management: Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure full compliance with local, national, and international regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Field Operations Support: Provide on-site HSE leadership and guidance to field teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during all operational activities. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate HSE considerations into planning and execution phases.
• Training and Awareness: Design and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a proactive safety culture. Ensure that all personnel are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to identify and respond to safety concerns effectively.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into safety incidents, near-misses, and environmental non-compliance events. Analyze root causes, recommend corrective measures, and ensure timely reporting to relevant stakeholders while maintaining accurate records.
• Environmental Stewardship: Monitor and manage environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company sustainability goals. Promote best practices in waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
• Audit and Inspection Oversight: Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and action plans to address deficiencies and enhance operational safety.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary HSE liaison between field teams, management, and regulatory authorities. Facilitate open communication channels to address safety concerns and promote collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, preferably within the oil and gas, construction, or industrial sectors. Field experience in a supervisory or specialist capacity is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, industry standards, and best practices, with a proven ability to apply this expertise in dynamic operational environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in both English and Arabic is advantageous.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions to enhance safety performance.
• Proficiency in HSE management systems and software tools, including incident reporting platforms and risk assessment methodologies.
