Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Investment Operations Officer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless execution of investment fund operations, from transaction processing to regulatory compliance and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

The Investment Operations Officer will be responsible for a wide range of fund-related activities, including:

• Fund Operations Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of investment funds, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and operational reporting.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely execution of fund subscriptions, redemptions, and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
  • Monitor fund cash flows, settlements, and reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Collaborate with fund managers and administrators to streamline operational workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Verify compliance with Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and internal policies to mitigate operational risks.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the CMA and other relevant authorities in a timely manner.
• Administrative Coordination & Compliance:
  • Support the onboarding of new fund investors by ensuring adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Coordinate with outsourced fund administrators to facilitate accounting, NAV calculations, investor reporting, and fund compliance.
  • Oversee daily fund transactions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Assist in managing corporate actions, dividend distributions, and other fund-related financial events.
  • Ensure all operational documentation is up to date, organized, and readily accessible for audits and inspections.
• Financial & Accounting Support:
  • Provide essential support to the Investment Operations department by managing daily financial transactions and fund bookkeeping.
  • Process payments, reconcile invoices, and oversee fund-related expense management to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Facilitate fund-related financial audits and regulatory inspections by coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to accurate financial reporting for fund operations in collaboration with accounting teams.
  • Assist in budgeting and cash flow management for fund-related activities to support strategic financial planning.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
  • Act as a primary liaison between fund managers, administrators, custodians, brokers, and other service providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the required skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in fund operations, investment management, or financial services.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and fund compliance requirements.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with fund accounting software, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve operational issues with precision.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to financial transactions, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.
• Time Management: Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and meet regulatory reporting timelines.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
