Assistant Manager, Medical Representation

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and ethical professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Medical Representation in Abha, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted medical delegate, responsible for promoting and detailing Nestlé Infant Nutrition products within your assigned territory. Your primary objective will be to deliver accurate, evidence-based information to medical and paramedical contacts regarding the features, benefits, and appropriate use of our products, particularly in cases where mothers are unable or choose not to breastfeed. This position requires strict adherence to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes, Nestlé Instructions, and local regulatory guidelines to ensure ethical and compliant practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Promotion of Breastfeeding: Champion Nestlé’s core belief that breastfeeding is the optimal choice for infants, while providing balanced and scientifically accurate information on alternative feeding options when necessary.
• Expert Consultation: Offer reliable insights on infant nutrition and feeding practices to medical and paramedical professionals, tailoring discussions to their areas of interest or relevance to their practice.
• Scientific Engagement: Organize and facilitate medical or paramedical scientific meetings focused on product knowledge, nutrition, or related topics. This includes coordinating sponsorships and inviting guest lecturers to enhance educational opportunities.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze competitor activities within your territory, including tracking new product launches, communication strategies, and market trends. Report findings to the Medical Field Manager to inform strategic decisions.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of all correspondence, interactions, and actions taken during daily activities. Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and company standards.
• Contact Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive master list of all contacts in your assigned territory. Classify contacts based on their level of interest and importance, and ensure regular updates through call card completions.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong educational background in pharmaceutical science, public health, nutrition, or biology. Prior experience as a Medical Delegate is highly desirable, as it demonstrates your familiarity with ethical detailing practices and the ability to engage effectively with healthcare professionals.
