Join Our Dynamic Team as a Systems Engineer I - BMS Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BMS Engineer with 3-4 years of professional experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure efficient and reliable operation of building services.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and development of BMS solutions based on client requirements and project specifications, including control panel designs, software logic, and user interface graphics.
• Overseeing and participating in the installation and configuration of BMS hardware, controllers, and field devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project documentation.
• Programming control logic and sequences of operation for various building systems (HVAC, lighting, security), and conducting thorough commissioning checks to verify system performance against design specifications.
• Integrating third-party systems and devices using standard protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and KNX.
• Providing ongoing maintenance, fault-finding, and technical support for existing BMS installations, diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Identifying opportunities for system optimization to improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and overall building performance.
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, operational manuals, site reports, and commissioning records, and providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Working closely with other engineers, technicians, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery and effective system operation.
• Risk assessment and mitigation plan preparation, value engineering, and material/cost savings and VO estimation and cost analysis.

Qualifications include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with relevant certifications.
• 3-4 years of proven experience as a BMS Engineer or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in the design, installation, programming, and commissioning of BMS.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services, proficiency in programming control logic and sequences of operation, familiarity with various BMS protocols, and experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium, or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, electrical schematics, and control diagrams, knowledge of electrical installation checks and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, high level of diligence and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adaptability and innovation in addressing technical challenges.
