Mechanical / Static Equipment Engineer Specialist (Saudi Arabia)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical / Static Equipment Engineer Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of mechanical and static equipment across our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, static equipment design, and industry best practices to support critical infrastructure projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Design and Analysis: Develop, review, and optimize designs for mechanical and static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping systems, ensuring compliance with international standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
• Project Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement, and construction personnel, to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all equipment designs and installations adhere to local and international regulatory requirements, including Saudi Aramco standards, OSHA, and other relevant safety protocols.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments, failure mode analyses, and reliability studies to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and compliance certificates, maintaining accurate records for audits and regulatory submissions.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Offer technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, and operation, addressing any mechanical or static equipment-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance equipment performance and longevity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical/static equipment engineering, with at least 5 years in a specialized or leadership role.
• Professional certification such as PE (Professional Engineer), Chartered Engineer, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, including ASME BPVC, API 650/620, and TEMA, with hands-on experience in their application.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV Elite, or similar platforms for design and analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks, including Saudi Aramco standards and local labor laws, is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to support project needs.
