Project Control Manager

Position Overview

HanmiGlobal Saudi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Control Manager to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial, scheduling, and reporting aspects of our projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project controls, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project schedules using advanced tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Ensure alignment with project milestones and deliverables while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and forecasting. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for project risks. Monitor risk registers and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
• Performance Reporting: Generate and present detailed project performance reports to stakeholders, including progress updates, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure transparency and accountability in all reporting activities.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, clients, and senior management. Facilitate clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and compliance reports, are accurate, up-to-date, and in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project control specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project controls, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Proficiency in variance analysis and cost control methodologies is essential.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, and driving project success through collaboration and innovation.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project management methodologies, industry standards, and regulatory compliance within the construction or engineering sectors in Saudi Arabia.
