QA/QC Engineer

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a QA/QC Engineer at Alomar Holding Company, your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of quality assurance and control activities. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive quality management systems to ensure adherence to international standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Your duties will include conducting thorough inspections, audits, and testing procedures to identify potential risks, defects, or non-conformities, and proposing corrective actions to mitigate them.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to establish and enforce quality benchmarks throughout all stages of project execution. This includes reviewing project documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and work procedures, to ensure alignment with quality objectives. You will also be tasked with maintaining accurate records of quality control activities, generating detailed reports, and presenting findings to senior management to support data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Industrial), Quality Management, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications in quality assurance, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Six Sigma, will be considered a significant advantage.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and control within the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, inspection techniques, and testing methodologies. Familiarity with industry-specific standards, such as ASTM, ASME, or API, is essential. Proficiency in using quality management software and tools is also required.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions to enhance quality and efficiency. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are critical.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
• Regulatory Compliance: A thorough understanding of local and international regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and environmental standards relevant to the industry.
