Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Product Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Utilize both manual and automated inspection tools to assess product integrity, appearance, and functionality.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor manufacturing processes to identify deviations, inefficiencies, or potential quality issues. Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive measures, ensuring continuous improvement in quality performance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken. Prepare comprehensive reports for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for quality enhancement. Ensure all documentation aligns with ISO, HACCP, and other relevant quality management system standards.
• Compliance and Safety: Verify that all manufacturing activities comply with local, regional, and international regulations, including food safety laws, hygiene standards, and environmental policies. Promote a culture of safety and quality awareness among team members to mitigate risks and prevent quality-related incidents.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality concerns and drive process improvements. Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality best practices, inspection techniques, and compliance protocols to foster a unified approach to quality assurance.
• Equipment and Tool Calibration: Ensure that all inspection equipment, gauges, and tools are properly calibrated and maintained to guarantee accurate and reliable measurements. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule regular calibration checks and address any equipment-related issues promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a diploma in a relevant discipline with substantial experience in quality inspection may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within the manufacturing sector, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Prior experience with ISO, HACCP, or other quality management systems is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with quality inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and automated inspection systems. Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve product quality and process efficiency. Attention to detail is essential to detect even minor defects or inconsistencies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, management, and external stakeholders. Ability to articulate quality concerns clearly and propose actionable solutions.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or Six Sigma are advantageous but not mandatory.
