Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Steward to join our dynamic team at EDITION Hotels, located on the stunning Shura Island in The Red Sea, Hanak, Saudi Arabia. As a vital member of our Food and Beverage & Culinary team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency across multiple departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage outlets, and laundry services. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks designed to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience, from preparing pristine linens and dining ware to operating and maintaining essential cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Steward, your primary duties will include:

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clean linens, tableware, and kitchen equipment to meet the highest hygiene standards. Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
• Logistics and Support: Transport dishware, linens, and other materials across the hotel efficiently and safely, adhering to established protocols to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with various departments to support their cleaning and operational needs, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes guest satisfaction and team success.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards to create a safe and productive workplace. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management promptly to mitigate risks.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance, including your uniform, personal grooming, and communication style. Uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence by delivering service with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience: Prior work experience in a similar role is not mandatory, as we provide comprehensive training for motivated individuals.
• Supervisory Experience: This is a non-management position; however, your ability to support and collaborate with team leaders and colleagues is essential.
• Certifications: No specific licenses or certifications are required for this role.
