Position Overview

This position is essential to the smooth operation of our luxury hospitality environment, providing critical support across multiple departments, including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry services. As a Heart of House Specialist, you will be the backbone of our operational excellence, ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay through meticulous attention to cleanliness, efficiency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks that contribute to the overall functionality and aesthetics of the hotel. Your duties will include:

• Laundry and Dishwashing Operations: Preparing and managing clean linens and tableware to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation for our guests. This includes operating and maintaining laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and dishwashing machines to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
• Logistics and Transportation: Efficiently transporting linens, tableware, and other supplies across the hotel to support seamless operations in all departments. This role requires careful handling and organization to prevent delays or shortages.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks and maintenance on cleaning equipment and tools to ensure they are in working order. Reporting any malfunctions or damages to management promptly to avoid disruptions in service.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhering to all company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards to create a secure and compliant work environment. This includes reporting accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues and other departments to achieve common goals and maintain high standards of service. Building and sustaining positive working relationships is critical to the success of this role.
• Physical Demands: This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stretching, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You must be prepared to perform these tasks throughout your shift to support the operational needs of the hotel.
• Additional Duties: Taking on ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors to ensure the smooth functioning of the hotel. Flexibility and adaptability are key to thriving in this role.

Qualifications and Skills

At EDITION Hotels, we value dedication, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality. While formal education is not required for this position, we welcome candidates who demonstrate the following attributes:

• Education: No high school diploma or equivalent GED is required for this role.
• Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
• Supervisory Experience: This position does not require prior supervisory experience.
• Certifications: No specific licenses or certifications are required.
