Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Management Specialist to join our Finance & Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This critical role will serve as the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of all revenue-related processes within our healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial oversight, insurance claim management, and stakeholder collaboration, with a proven ability to drive financial sustainability through strategic analysis and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

The Revenue Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by overseeing a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Financial Oversight & Compliance:
    • Validate and approve all invoices submitted by service providers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations, accuracy, and compliance standards.
    • Review and endorse service quotations to confirm alignment with approved contractual terms and organizational policies.
    • Collaborate with Finance leadership to develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets in alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
    • Prepare and present monthly financial analysis, variance reports, and actionable recommendations to senior management.
    • Ensure timely submission and processing of financial documentation, including work completion certificates, invoices, and related records.
    • Monitor and reconcile accrued revenue, accounts payable, and expenditures related to CAPEX, OPEX, contractor payments, insurance reimbursements, and accreditation costs.
    • Oversee CAPEX and OPEX allocations to ensure adherence to approved budgets and project timelines.
  • Insurance & Revenue Cycle Management:
    • Lead the monthly insurance claim submission process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with insurer requirements.
    • Monitor claim rejection rates and implement targeted corrective action plans to minimize denials and accelerate reimbursement cycles.
    • Conduct reconciliation meetings with insurers and service providers to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure transparency.
    • Track and reconcile incurred and accrued claims revenue to maintain financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Reporting & Strategic Analysis:
    • Develop and present comprehensive financial and insurance performance reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to finance, revenue cycle management, and collections to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven analysis to support strategic decision-making and revenue optimization.
    • Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities to enhance operational and financial performance.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary liaison for financial and insurance-related matters with insurers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with healthcare operations, finance, and leadership teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve revenue cycle efficiency and financial outcomes.
    • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Provide administrative support for finance and revenue cycle management activities as required.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by management to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications & Professional Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field (required).
    • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Professional Certifications (Preferred):
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
    • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, or revenue cycle management.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, demonstrating the ability to drive financial processes and mentor teams.
  • Technical & Soft Skills:
    • Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
