Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. This full-time, on-site role is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day financial activities, including recording and reconciling transactions, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining precise general ledger entries. Additionally, the position involves preparing comprehensive financial statements and management reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting initiatives, and facilitating month-end and year-end closing processes. The Accountant will also ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and local regulatory requirements, while assisting in the preparation of documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations Management: Record, reconcile, and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and company policies.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the general ledger is up-to-date, accurate, and reflective of all financial activities, including journal entries and adjustments.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Collaborate with finance and operational teams to develop, monitor, and adjust budgets and forecasts in alignment with organizational goals.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Lead the preparation and review of financial close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Assist in audit preparations, documentation, and responses to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights, resolve discrepancies, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in financial accounting, exceptional analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), tax regulations, and basic audit procedures. Experience in the aviation, logistics, or a similar industry is advantageous, particularly with multi-currency transactions.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels. A collaborative mindset with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
