Key Responsibilities

As an Engineer II at Mammoet, your core responsibilities will include:

• Engineering Solution Development: Design and deliver complex engineering solutions tailored to heavy lifting and transportation projects, including method statements, drawings, calculations, and comprehensive risk assessments.
• Method and Equipment Selection: Independently evaluate and verify engineering methods and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency in project execution.
• Project Execution Support: Oversee engineering plans throughout project lifecycles, adapting solutions proactively to accommodate evolving conditions or requirements.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, maintaining a high standard of engineering excellence and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Advise operations, sales, and project management teams on engineering feasibility, potential risks, and technical trade-offs to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all engineering documentation is meticulously prepared, accurate, and compliant with international standards, while maintaining rigorous review and maintenance protocols.
• Route Survey and Analysis: Conduct detailed route surveys for heavy transport and logistics operations, preparing comprehensive reports to support safe and efficient project planning.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Engage in both conventional engineering methodologies and the development of innovative approaches to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Technical Expertise Development: Continuously expand your knowledge by learning, preparing, and selecting updated engineering statements and methodologies to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant engineering experience, with demonstrated exposure to advanced and complex engineering solutions within the heavy lifting industry. Proficiency in engineering operational practices, HLT equipment (such as cranes, transport equipment, and alternative devices), internal codes, and industry standards is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modeling, detailing, and drafting to support project documentation and visualization.
• Communication Skills: Fluent proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, and methodologies while remaining effective and resilient in the face of changing priorities and dynamic project environments.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
