Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our esteemed team at AMAALA, An Nu'aylah, Saudi Arabia. In this full-time, non-management role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency within our Food and Beverage & Culinary departments. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from operating and maintaining cleaning equipment to ensuring the proper storage and rotation of perishable goods. Key Responsibilities

As a Steward, your primary duties will include:

• Equipment and Area Maintenance: Operate and maintain essential cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. Ensure all kitchen and storage areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment are thoroughly washed, disinfected, and stored appropriately.
• Dishwashing and Sanitization: Utilize detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in a 3-compartment sink to clean dishes, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Inspect, rack, and spray cleaned items with hot water to remove food residue. Sort, soak, and wash or re-wash silverware as needed.
• Waste Management: Break down dirty bus tubs, empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas, and dispose of glass in designated containers. Break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in the appropriate bins to support sustainability efforts.
• Stock Rotation and Storage: Receive deliveries, properly store perishable items, and rotate stock to maintain freshness and quality. Ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas to uphold organizational standards.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and security procedures. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. Complete required safety training and certifications to ensure a secure working environment.
• Team Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals. Communicate clearly and professionally with others, contributing to a cohesive and efficient workplace.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed.
• Additional Duties: Fulfill other reasonable job responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience: Prior work experience in a similar role is not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
• Certifications: No specific licenses or certifications are required for this position.
