Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Recreation Experience Expert to join our team at Ummahat Island 1, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary resource for all recreational activities offered at our property, ensuring guests enjoy a safe, engaging, and memorable experience. Your responsibilities will encompass facilitating guest participation, maintaining facility standards, and delivering exceptional service across a variety of recreational amenities, including pools, beaches, entertainment lounges, gyms, and children’s activity centers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Recreation Experience Expert, you will play a central role in enhancing guest satisfaction by performing a diverse range of duties, including:

• Guest Engagement and Activity Facilitation: Provide guests with detailed information about available recreational facilities and activities, such as swimming pools, beach access, entertainment lounges, fitness centers, and children’s play areas. Motivate, recruit, register, and organize guests to participate in recreational programs, fostering an atmosphere of fun, relaxation, and community.
• Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and staff. Monitor recreational areas, respond promptly to emergencies in accordance with local operational procedures, and assist injured guests until medical personnel arrive. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Operational Support: Assist with private group activities, events, and transactions at point-of-sale locations when required. Process payments for equipment rentals, recreational activities, facility rentals, or retail sales, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies to uphold a high standard of presentation.
• Customer Service Excellence: Deliver warm and professional guest interactions in alignment with company policies. Anticipate guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation for their patronage. Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, and adhere to proper telephone etiquette when handling calls.
• Team Collaboration and Professional Conduct: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members to support shared objectives. Uphold company confidentiality, protect assets, and present a neat and professional appearance at all times. Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of guest experiences.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The Recreation Experience Expert role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a dynamic and often outdoor environment. You will be expected to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, as well as move, lift, transport, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11 kg) independently, and heavier items with assistance. The position may involve reaching, bending, crawling, or climbing in elevated, confined, or uneven spaces, including stairs, ramps, and slippery or inclined surfaces. Visual acuity is essential for inspecting equipment, reading small print, and operating computer systems or point-of-sale terminals.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and demonstrate a passion for guest service and recreational programming. Prior experience in hospitality, recreation, or customer-facing roles is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are essential. Bilingual proficiency (English and Arabic) is a plus.
