About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Expert to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our enterprise cloud environments, hybrid IT infrastructure, and data center operations. This position is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency of our Digital Business Services (DBS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end operational management of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, driving automation initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Expert will be accountable for the following core functions:

• Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Deploy, administer, and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability. This includes managing cloud services, virtualization platforms, and integration with on-premises systems.
• On-Premises Infrastructure Operations: Oversee the management and maintenance of on-premises infrastructure components such as servers, storage systems, backup platforms, and network environments to guarantee operational continuity and minimize downtime.
• Proactive Monitoring and Incident Resolution: Utilize advanced observability and monitoring tools to continuously track infrastructure and cloud environments. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues proactively to maintain high service levels and minimize disruptions.
• Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration: Lead and contribute to automation and orchestration initiatives that enhance provisioning, scaling, patching, and maintenance processes. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Support the development and execution of disaster recovery plans, backup management strategies, and high-availability solutions to ensure infrastructure resilience and uninterrupted business operations.
• Cost Optimization and FinOps: Analyze infrastructure utilization and cloud consumption trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization. Contribute to FinOps initiatives to maximize the value of cloud investments while maintaining performance and compliance.
• Compliance and Cybersecurity: Ensure that cloud and infrastructure environments adhere to cybersecurity standards, governance policies, and operational procedures. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust security controls and compliance frameworks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to support infrastructure operations, maintenance activities, and service delivery improvements. Foster strong relationships to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
• Infrastructure Projects and Upgrades: Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and operational enhancement projects to drive technological advancements and support business growth.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive operational reports, technical documentation, and infrastructure performance assessments to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field.

Certifications (Preferred)

Experience

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, hybrid infrastructure environments, and enterprise infrastructure support.
• Proven expertise in managing enterprise infrastructure environments, including virtualization, storage, backup, networking, and monitoring platforms.
• Strong practical experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and private cloud technologies.
• Experience in infrastructure automation, containerization, orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in educational institutions, technology, digital, consulting, or transformation-driven environments is considered a plus.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in automation, scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of disaster recovery strategies, backup methodologies, high-availability architectures, and business continuity practices.
• Knowledge of cloud governance frameworks, cybersecurity controls, compliance requirements, and operational risk management practices.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, incident management, and root-cause analysis capabilities across diverse cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Strong analytical skills to assess infrastructure utilization, optimize operational efficiency, and support cloud cost management initiatives.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
