Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Storage Backup Administrator to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. Key Responsibilities

Storage and Backup Administration

As a Storage Backup Administrator, your core responsibilities will include the management and administration of advanced backup and recovery solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Veeam, Data Domain, and Networker to design, implement, and maintain robust backup strategies that align with organizational requirements. Your duties will encompass:

• Backup Data Lifecycle Management: Develop and enforce policies to govern the retention, archiving, and disposal of backup data, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business standards.
• Data Replication and Redundancy: Configure and manage cross-site data replication to enhance disaster recovery capabilities and ensure high availability of critical data assets.
• Monitoring and Administration: Proactively monitor backup jobs, performance metrics, and system health to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations. Implement best practices for backup scheduling, resource allocation, and capacity planning.

Storage Administration

In addition to backup responsibilities, you will oversee the administration of our enterprise storage infrastructure, including NetApp and Unity storage arrays, as well as Brocade SAN Switches. Your role will involve:

• SAN Switch Management: Perform switch upgrades, topology modifications, and fabric management to maintain optimal performance and reliability of the storage network.
• Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks related to latency, IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second), and throughput to ensure efficient data access and processing.
• Data Security and Access Control: Implement and enforce robust security measures to protect storage data, including user access management, encryption, and compliance with data protection policies.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Veeam, Data Domain, Networker, NetApp, Unity, and Brocade SAN Switches, with a proven ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize these systems.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex issues, implement effective solutions, and minimize downtime.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and business stakeholders.
