Engineer III

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer III to join our team at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, located on the stunning Ummahat Island in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential to maintaining the operational excellence and luxurious guest experience that define our brand. As part of the Engineering & Facilities team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functionality of our facilities, equipment, and systems while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineer III will be responsible for a wide range of duties to support the maintenance and upkeep of our property. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Guest and Client Interaction: Respond promptly and professionally to guest and client maintenance requests, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and courtesy. Communicate effectively to resolve maintenance issues and provide timely updates.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections. Identify potential issues before they escalate to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Equipment and System Operations: Transport and operate equipment such as tools and radios as needed. Locate, identify, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Inventory and Supply Management: Maintain accurate maintenance inventories and request necessary parts and supplies to support ongoing operations. Ensure proper storage of flammable materials and adherence to safety regulations.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately. Participate in safety training and certification programs to uphold the highest standards of workplace safety.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a neat and professional appearance, including uniform standards. Handle proprietary information with confidentiality and protect company assets. Greet and recognize guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating their needs and providing exceptional service.
• Team Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and support team objectives. Address employee concerns professionally and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Communicate clearly and respectfully with all team members.
• Physical Requirements: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, and positioning objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders, and perform stretching, bending, twisting, and other movements as required. Execute additional reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A technical, trade, or vocational school diploma is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a maintenance or engineering role is required. Supervisory experience is not required.
• Certifications: A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Additional language skills are a plus.
