Key Responsibilities
As a Business Improvement Consultant, your core responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Partnership: Work alongside executive leadership to develop and implement comprehensive business improvement strategies that align with organisational goals and drive sustainable growth.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and leverage data-driven insights to uncover opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring evidence-based decision-making across all initiatives.
- Process Transformation: Lead complex process improvement and transformation projects spanning multiple departments, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement and innovation.
- Team Engagement: Facilitate interactive workshops and mentor cross-functional teams in process redesign and advanced problem-solving methodologies, empowering them to drive meaningful change.
- Best Practice Advocacy: Champion industry-leading practices in process management, quality improvement, and operational excellence to elevate organisational performance.
- Change Management: Lead organisational change initiatives to ensure seamless adoption of new processes and operational frameworks, minimising disruption and maximising impact.
- Performance Benchmarking: Conduct rigorous benchmarking studies to assess organisational performance against industry best practices, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive and sustain continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, patient experience, and overall organisational performance.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Science, or a closely related field. A Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Quality, Data, Management, Allied Health, or another relevant healthcare or management discipline is highly desirable.
- Professional Certifications:
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
- Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
- Just Culture or other recognised Quality Improvement certifications (preferred).
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 16 years of progressive experience in business improvement, continuous quality improvement, project management, or operational excellence, with a significant portion dedicated to the healthcare sector.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives and delivering sustainable process improvements that drive measurable outcomes.
- Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams effectively, even in the absence of direct authority.
