Patient Care Technician

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a pivotal role in supporting nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care within our healthcare facilities. This dynamic role involves a blend of clinical and administrative tasks, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain a clean, well-equipped clinic environment, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and arrange required equipment for clinical procedures.
• Coordinating clinic activities, including patient flow, to ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately process admissions, referrals, and patient documents, maintaining strict attention to detail.
• Monitor patient status, providing assistance as needed with lab and radiology services.
• Handle telephone inquiries professionally, relaying messages accurately and promptly, and answering general visitor queries.
• Adhere to stringent patient safety standards, infection control protocols, and documentation policies.
• Perform basic nursing procedures within the scope of practice, such as checking vital signs, patient weight, and height, and providing patient education.
• Attend required meetings and educational activities to maintain and enhance skills.
• Report observations and concerns about patient conditions to the supervisor or charge nurse promptly.
• Guide patients to relevant areas for investigations, providing written information as required.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives and enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks as assigned, within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science
• Completion of a PCT program
• Preferred: Previous healthcare experience; fresh graduates with a keen interest in healthcare are also welcome
• Valid Saudi Council certification
• BLS certification
