Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Life Guard to join our esteemed team at a premier recreational facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests while maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment. Key Responsibilities

The Life Guard will perform a variety of duties to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all guests. Your responsibilities will include:

• Safety and Rescue: Utilize appropriate rescue techniques to assist swimmers in distress. Continuously monitor the swimming area for hazardous conditions, unusual activities, or guests who may be struggling. Ensure compliance with all facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Guest Assistance: Provide immediate assistance to injured or distressed guests until emergency medical services arrive. Promote a welcoming, fun, and relaxing atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.
• Facility Maintenance: Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck by washing, mopping, and ensuring it is free from hazards. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management promptly.
• Guest Service and Professionalism: Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including uniform standards. Anticipate and address guest needs proactively, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Express genuine appreciation to guests for their patronage.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests. Support fellow team members with dignity and respect, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Adhere to quality assurance standards and company policies to ensure operational excellence.
• Physical Demands: Perform duties that require mobility, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Move at a pace necessary to respond to emergencies, such as running or jogging. Handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance. Demonstrate fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as inspecting equipment or performing rescues. Navigate various surfaces, including slopes, uneven terrain, or slippery areas, as well as stairs, ladders, and ramps. Perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as needed. Undertake additional reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Qualifications and Certifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Additional certifications or training may be required by local and state agencies to comply with regulatory standards.
• Experience: While prior related work experience is not required, a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
