Key Responsibilities

The A010-ESG-Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial integrity and strategic decision-making of our organization. Under general supervision, you will:

• Develop Accounting Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of the company’s business systems, processes, and internal controls, including policies and procedures relevant to your assigned location and department. This role is developmental, offering exposure to moderately complex aspects of general accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and the application of industry-specific accounting principles.
• Prepare and Analyze Financial Reports: Compile and prepare accurate accounting reports, including complex analyses with supporting spreadsheets or applications. Identify trends, discrepancies, and potential issues, and proactively resolve them to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Journal Entries and Transaction Processing: Prepare and post journal vouchers for accounting transactions, ensuring adherence to US GAAP or country-specific accounting standards. Research and resolve basic accounting issues, including related internal controls, to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support organizational structure and financial operations. Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals.
• Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Stay current with evolving accounting regulations, standards, and best practices. Ensure all financial activities comply with legal requirements and internal policies, mitigating risks and enhancing transparency.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of nine (9) months of hands-on experience in accounting-related roles, with exposure to general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or internal controls preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles, along with intermediate-level proficiency in financial applications and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel).
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to interpret financial data to support decision-making.
• Communication and Collaboration: Ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
