Hyatt Place Al Ula, a landmark addition to Hyatt’s portfolio in the region, is seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Accountant to spearhead the financial leadership of its upcoming opening. This prestigious 214-room property will feature two sophisticated food and beverage outlets, versatile meeting spaces, a rejuvenating swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, catering to both leisure and business travelers. As the financial steward of this new venture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the hotel’s financial foundation, ensuring alignment with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards while exceeding the expectations of employees, guests, and owners alike.

Your Responsibilities

In this critical leadership position, you will oversee the full spectrum of the Finance Department’s operations, driving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Departmental Leadership: Direct the day-to-day functions of the Finance Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Credit, ensuring seamless financial processes and robust internal controls.
• Strategic Financial Management: Collaborate closely with hotel leadership to develop and execute budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that inform strategic decision-making and support operational excellence.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure meticulous financial reporting, adherence to statutory requirements, and compliance with audit standards, while maintaining the highest levels of transparency and accountability.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and address financial risks, implementing proactive measures to safeguard the hotel’s assets and financial health.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted financial advisor to the General Manager and department heads, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and drive profitability.
• Policy Enforcement: Uphold and enforce Hyatt’s corporate policies, brand standards, and internal controls to maintain consistency and integrity across all financial operations.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A university degree or diploma in Finance, Commerce, or Hospitality/Tourism Management, with a professional qualification such as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent being a distinct advantage.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant in a large-scale operation, where you have demonstrated a track record of financial leadership and operational impact.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial matters.
• Strong administrative and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to effectively manage teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and communicate complex financial concepts with clarity.
