Account Payable Manager, Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Payable Manager to join the finance team at Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea, a part of the prestigious Accor group. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, and maintaining strong financial controls within the organization. Key Responsibilities

The Account Payable Manager will play a critical role in managing the accounts payable operations for Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea. The primary responsibilities include:

• Vendor Payment Management: Oversee the end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and timely payments to maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Financial Controls & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure adherence to financial regulations, and mitigate risks associated with accounts payable processes.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounts payable team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, leverage technology solutions, and enhance operational efficiency to support the financial goals of the organization.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts payable reconciliations, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management review.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, finance, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of accounts payable processes with broader business objectives, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Audit & Compliance Support: Assist internal and external auditors in the review of accounts payable records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality, luxury, or service industry preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP or Oracle, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with financial reporting tools and data analytics is a plus.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the capacity to manage high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism. A customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence is essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
