Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the finance team at Raffles The Red Sea, a premier luxury resort operated by Accor in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to optimize cash flow and financial performance. Key Responsibilities

• Billing and Invoicing: Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices to clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual agreements. Verify billing details, including rates, taxes, and additional charges, to maintain precision and minimize discrepancies.
• Receivables Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue payments and initiate timely follow-ups with clients. Collaborate with the collections team to resolve outstanding balances and implement strategies to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
• Client Relationships: Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account reconciliations. Address client concerns professionally and efficiently to foster long-term partnerships and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable records with general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Generate and distribute monthly aging reports, payment forecasts, and other financial analyses to support decision-making.
• Compliance and Controls: Adhere to Accor’s financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements to safeguard company assets. Ensure all receivables transactions are documented and processed in accordance with accounting standards and best practices.
• System and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes, enhance efficiency, and leverage technology to automate routine tasks. Contribute to the implementation of new tools or systems to improve operational performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the hospitality, travel, or luxury services industry. Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in financial analysis and reporting. Familiarity with accounting software and automated billing systems.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in Arabic or French is advantageous.
