Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Performance Specialist to join our corporate finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the Company’s financial performance in strict adherence to SATORP policies and procedures. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of financial data, optimizing business models, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes. This position requires a proactive approach to financial analysis, reporting, and cost management, ensuring that management receives accurate, timely, and actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Performance Specialist will play a central role in the following areas:

  • Financial Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all financial data, serving as a trusted source for corporate financial information.
  • Budgeting and Business Planning:
    • Collaborate with organizational heads and finance departments to prepare and consolidate annual budgets and business plans.
    • Develop clear, effective templates and frameworks to streamline the budgeting process and enhance data management.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management and shareholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Develop quarterly reports and presentations for the board, highlighting key financial trends, variances, and strategic insights.
  • Process Improvement and Policy Development:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Leverage advanced tools and data management systems to optimize financial operations and reporting capabilities.
  • Financial Analysis and Cost Management:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of variable and fixed costs, as well as capital expenditures (CAPEX), to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Analyze departmental business performance to understand deviations from plans and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Establish and monitor monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for relevant SATORP activities, benchmarking performance against industry standards.
    • Challenge business lines on their financial submissions and forecasts to drive cost efficiency and align with corporate objectives.
  • Strategic Support and Decision-Making: Enable rapid and informed decision-making by providing management with precise financial insights, enabling proactive responses to market and operational changes.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the Management Accounting Section Manager to support the financial health and strategic goals of the organization.

Expected Outcomes

In this role, you will be expected to deliver the following results:

  • Produce accurate and timely budgets, management accounts, and financial reports that meet corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities to support strategic planning.
  • Implement robust cost accounting functions and maintain precise financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide operational units with clear frameworks for reporting and planning, fostering accountability and alignment with corporate goals.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following competencies and qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare relevant reports.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
    • Proficiency in automated financial and accounting reporting systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Familiarity with cost and management accounting techniques to support strategic financial decision-making.
  • Communication and Presentation: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail, commitment to deadlines, and the ability to solve complex financial challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and oral Arabic and English.
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience, with at least five (5) years in an industrial environment.
