Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our Technology Infrastructure team in Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will serve as the first point of contact for technical support across our retail stores and corporate offices, ensuring the seamless operation of end-user devices, Microsoft 365 services, POS systems, and IT infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a stable, efficient, and secure IT environment that supports ABYAT’s dynamic business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• First-Line Technical Support: Provide responsive and effective troubleshooting for hardware, software, Windows operating systems, and peripheral devices, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• User Support & Incident Management: Resolve end-user technical issues promptly while delivering exceptional customer service, managing incidents through the IT ticketing system, and maintaining accurate documentation of resolutions and procedures.
• Active Directory & Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage user accounts, access permissions, and configurations within Active Directory, while providing support for Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and Office Suite.
• Networking & Connectivity Support: Diagnose and resolve networking issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Retail Technology Support: Maintain and troubleshoot retail-specific technology, including POS terminals, barcode scanners, receipt printers, and other hardware critical to store operations.
• Vendor Coordination & Escalation: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues, escalating when necessary to ensure timely and effective solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 5 years in Technical Support, IT Support, Helpdesk, or Service Desk roles, with a proven track record of resolving technical issues efficiently.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration. Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi) is essential.
• Retail & Multi-Site Support: Prior experience supporting POS systems, retail technology, or multi-site IT environments is highly advantageous.
• Language & Compliance: Fluency in Arabic is mandatory. A valid Saudi driving license is required for role-related travel.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
