Key Responsibilities

The Nurse plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our students. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services within an educational setting. The Nurse will be responsible for the following duties:

• Health Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health screenings, including hearing assessments and general health evaluations, to identify any potential health concerns among students. Monitor and document changes in students' health conditions to ensure timely intervention and support.
• First Aid and Emergency Care: Provide immediate first aid for injuries and acute medical conditions. Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, coordinating with healthcare providers and emergency services as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by authorized healthcare providers, ensuring strict adherence to dosage instructions and maintaining accurate documentation of all medication-related activities.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, school administration, and parents to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans that support each student's unique needs. Foster open and effective communication to ensure a cohesive approach to student health and well-being.
• Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain meticulous, confidential, and up-to-date health records for all students. Document health assessments, treatments administered, and any incidents in a timely and accurate manner to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and school policies.
• Disease Prevention and Infection Control: Monitor and report communicable diseases in accordance with school policies and public health guidelines. Implement and enforce health policies and infection control procedures to minimize the spread of illness within the school environment.
• Support for Chronic Health Conditions: Provide specialized care and support for students with chronic health conditions, assisting them in managing their healthcare needs during school hours. Collaborate with families and healthcare providers to ensure continuous and appropriate care is maintained.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A valid nursing license or registration, with a recognized nursing qualification such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent. Candidates must either possess a current license to practice in Saudi Arabia or demonstrate eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in Emergency, Pediatrics, and/or Special Needs settings. This experience ensures a strong foundation in providing care to diverse patient populations.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• A compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a deep commitment to supporting individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced educational environment.
