Passenger Boarding Bridge Coordinator

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Passenger Boarding Bridge Coordinator to join our dynamic team at C2 Company, a leading organization at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s airport development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), Ground Power Units (GPU), Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) units, and Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS), while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Passenger Boarding Bridge Coordinator will be tasked with a diverse range of operational and maintenance duties to support seamless aircraft turnaround processes. The primary responsibilities include:

• Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) Operations: Safely operate PBBs during aircraft arrival and departure, ensuring smooth boarding and disembarkation of passengers. Conduct daily inspections to identify potential malfunctions and report any issues promptly to the maintenance team.
• Apron Safety and Coordination: Strictly comply with apron safety procedures and maintain effective communication with the control tower and apron operations team to ensure coordinated and hazard-free operations.
• Ground Power Unit (GPU) Management: Operate and maintain GPUs that supply aircraft with essential power. Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure unit readiness before and during aircraft use. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and prepare technical reports as required.
• Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) Unit Operations: Operate and maintain PCA units to provide aircraft with appropriate cooling or heating based on aircraft type and prevailing weather conditions. Conduct routine maintenance, monitor unit performance, and ensure operational efficiency.
• Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) Maintenance: Operate, test, and calibrate VDGS to accommodate various aircraft models. Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure accurate and reliable docking guidance.
• Technical Troubleshooting and Collaboration: Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical issues in Passenger Boarding Bridges and related systems. Coordinate with system engineers and external service providers to address complex technical challenges. Perform periodic inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with operators, airport maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and service quality.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a related technical or operational role, preferably within an airport, aviation, or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and technical systems relevant to airport operations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
