Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant Store Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all retail staff are equipped with the necessary skills and support to deliver the highest standards of customer service, thereby maximizing sales opportunities and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Operational Support: Assist the Store Manager in the efficient and profitable operation of the store, adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards. You will act as the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for end-to-end store operations.
• Product and Trend Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and stay informed about the latest fashion trends and directives. This will enable you to effectively respond to and anticipate customer needs, ensuring minimal stock loss and driving repeat business.
• Staff Management: Oversee the daily roster, leave requests, and grievances of the retail staff. Provide constructive feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager regarding employee performance and product feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Visual Merchandising: Ensure that visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained in alignment with the company’s set guidelines. This includes overseeing store layouts, product displays, and overall store aesthetics to create an inviting and engaging shopping environment.
• Loyalty Program Promotion: Actively promote the company’s Loyalty Program to enhance customer retention and drive repeat sales. Educate staff on the benefits of the program and encourage its adoption among customers.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all staff adhere to the brand’s policies, procedures, and security protocols at all times. Maintain vigilance to prevent theft, fraud, or any form of negligence that could compromise store security or profitability.
• Brand Advocacy: Stay informed about the various brands within the group to provide customers with informed and suggestive selling opportunities. Represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm, aligning with the company’s values and mission.
• Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as heavy lifting. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of a retail environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 2-3 years of retail management experience, preferably in a fashion or apparel retail environment.
